Pastor Chuck Smith is a huge influence in my life. I came into Calvary Chapel over 8 years ago now and my life has been changed as a result. I know it has been a work of the Holy Spirit, but God has also used this man in my life. I just love being a part of Calvary Chapel. I love the simplicity of teaching thru the Word of God and relying on God's Spirit to build His church.
One thing that really impresses me about Pastor Chuck is that he is a man who is full of the Holy Spirit and is full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The joy of the Lord just overflows from him. He is always smiling because His trust is in the Lord. And you know that leading Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa has its challenges, yet Chuck models a trust in God that I want to emulate.
I feel like Elisha when it comes to Pastor Chuck. Give me the Spirit that he has. In fact, give me a double portion of that annointing. And may I be a person who follows Christ wholeheartedly and has the joy of the Lord overflowing in my life.

God has certainly blessed him with the chance to be a part of His work! I'm grateful for men like Chuck Smith who've remained faithful to their calling. No matter what happens, he's simply trusting his Savior!

Luke,
I think that is one of the biggest things that Chuck has modeled, simply trusting in God. And when you understand that God is the all-powerful creator, nothing is to much or to difficult or impossible for God.
Thanks for the comment.

I thank God for Pastor Chuck all the time. While so many people preach for a revival, Pastor Chuck has been leading one for the last 40 years. So many people have been saved and had their lives changed due to his ministry and willingness to follow God.
